We are in the process of painting our living room, bedroom and hallways and removing the rest of the carpet. We have decided to have our hardwood floors professionally re-done. I'll be posting pictures of our progress as we go.
Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of our dining room before we started the process. My Dad took off the wallpaper while we were on our honeymoon as a surprise! Which was awesome, but I should have taken a picture. (I'm working on getting one from the Realtor that listed the house.)
But here are some of the photos so far....
Dining room with wallpaper removed. A bunch of old glue was left.
This is after spackling the holes and evening out the wall, two coats of Kilz primer and getting ready to put on the "Spiced Wine" paint
With two coats of Behr Spiced Wine on the top half. You can see what the carpet looked like before we removed it. Note the old gold colored chandelier with upward pointing lights.
Lots of staples to remove by hand.
This is with the staples removed, and floor swept.
This is what it looks like now. New silver chandelier with downward facing lights. New chair rail, bottom of wall painted with Behr Falling Snow.
We will be posting more pictures as we get more done!
